Grand Premiere of New Kolkata Bangla Movie Alik Sukh: Director Shiboprasad says - I have given my hundred percent in the film

Kolkata, July 21 (Washington Bangla Radio): The premiere show of Alik Sukh at Priya cinemas was a star studded red carpet affair. The crowd which gathered at the hall was huge with people flocking from far and near to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars as they entered the hall. The red carpet entrance for the premiere was the show stealer.

Shiboprasad Mukherjee, the director of the film was busy welcoming guests and giving them the passes for the show. Dressed in a black t-shirt, the director was all smiles as he welcomed the guests and the media. “I have given my hundred percent in the film. I just hope that the audience appreciates the film as they have done with my earlier films” said the director.

Sohini Sengupta who plays the role of Kavita in the film came dressed in a black sari and open long tresses. She looked beautiful and the actress posed for photographs with the director. Debshankar Haldar who plays the role of Kingshuk said “I was acting with two Sengupta’s, Rituparna and Sohini. I had to match up with them and I hope my efforts show on screen”.

Kharaj Mukherjee in black t-shirt and blue jeans joked “Black seems to be the color of the day. Most of us are in black”. The actor however was happy at the way Bengali films are evolving and taking up issues which were earlier not thought of. Rupak Saha of Shyam Sundar Company Jewellers (the premiere partner), said “It is an honor to be the premiere partner of this film. Rituparna Sengupta has been helping us very much in getting a foothold in the city. She has been acting as the social ambassador for our company and to be associated with the premiere of her film is our way of appreciating her efforts”.

Joy Sarkar and Lopamudra arrived together and posed for photographs. Lopamudra even asked the photographers to take her pictures without the spectacles. “After Icche and Muktodhara, the hopes are high. From the trailers, I feel it will be a good one” said the singer looking serene in a black and white combination sari.

Nigel Akkara in a black shirt and grey jeans with his hair tied back looked stylish and handsome. The actor who had starred in Muktodhara was excited to see the film and he rushed inside the hall after posing for a few photographs.

Actress Parijat Chakraborty looked pretty in her pink and black ensemble. Her hair tied sideways with a pink flower in it gave her a fresh look. The actress came with her mother for the premiere.

Director Kamaleswar Mukherjee was all praises for Shiboprasad’s directorial style. He was also positive that the film will get favorable responses from the audience. The director wished the whole team of Alik Sukh “best of luck” before entering the hall.

The crowd frenzy reached its height when Rituparna Sengupta arrived. The guards had a tough time handling the crowd. Looking glamorous and sexy in an electric blue sari with golden colored sleeveless blouse, the actress posed for photographs. The matching golden colored bag and the golden jewelry, all gave her a golden girl aura. “As always I am excited about the outcome of the film. I just hope that the audience appreciates the film which is on such a delicate issue. We all have worked hard and hope that shows on screen” said the actress.

The other celebrities who graced the occasion included Chitra Sen, Rachana Banerjee, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Mamata Shankar, Sreela Majumdar, Dipankar De, Papiya Adhikari, Hiron, Arijit Dutta, Rajatava Dutta, Sayani Ghosh and others.
Before the show started, the director Shiboprasad Mukherjee thanked the authorities at the Medica Hospitals for their help in making the film. The amount that will be collected from the show will be given to the Uttarakhand relief fund.
The premiere of Alik Sukh was grand and we hope that the film is as grand as the premiere.
