Someplace Else is The Pub at The Park Kolkata. It hosts quality live music every single night. Someplace Else throbs with performances by the city’s best live bands everyday, promising different kinds of music. Established artists share the space with aspiring performers. Raw passion here translates into exciting notes and heady drinks. An ever-evolving night spot has been in fashion for over 15 successful years. Someplace Else is celebrating its 16th anniversary this year. Although the pub has undergone several changes throughout these years, still the elegance has been the same. The pub has seen the rise of great musicians like Amyt Dutta, Bodhisattwa Ghosh, Samidh, Bumpy Nag, Sumit Ramachandran (although he was first spotted in Trincas), Gary Lawer, Anjan Dutta etc. The best thing is that you get to hear good music with some exquisite drinks. The trip goes high as the night progresses. Famous bands like Skinny Alley, Hip Pocket (a regular), Lou Majau, Prestorika, Parikrama, Indian Ocean, etc. and many International musical acts have performed in this pub. Park Street was the most happening place in the 80’s, thanks to Someplace Else. Even the late great Shawn Lane has played over here and it was his last show, before he passed away. From Floyd to Robert Cray, from megadeth (crystal and the witches played recently) to Jimmy Hendrix, SPE gives you all.
