The movie will be releasing nationwide in India on November 4, 2011. This is the first international movie by mariners directed by award winning director Sohan Roy and produced by BizTv network. This movie is first of its kind and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

‘DAM 999’ is an Indo – UAE conceptual epic. This 3D visual treat is an emotional thriller that speaks about a century old dam built during the British colonial reign and the lives of nine individuals, who witness the destruction of the dam.

It is a movie with a social cause which describes the hazards dams can cause and creates awareness among the masses about the impending dangers of a dam collapse. The movie maintains a very positive note throughout in the portrayal of Indian culture and values. The movie takes the viewer through the lanes of India’s greatest contributions to humanity such as ‘Ayurveda’, the concept of ‘Navagrahas’ and ‘Yoga’ by presenting the thrilling story line through India’s most original aesthetic concepts of the nine cardinal emotions of human beings, the ‘Navarasas'.

DAM 999 is written by Rob Tobin and Sohan Roy and stars Ashish Vidyarthi, Joshua Fredric Smith, Rajit Kapur, Vinay Rai, Vimala Raman, Linda Arsenio, Megha Burman, Jaala Pickering and Jineeth Rath. The film features music by Ouseppachan.
