Shooting for the film ‘Hason Raja’ has just been completed and is now in the final post-production stages. The epic film in making is based on the life of a renowned folk poet from mid 19th century Bengal, Hason Raja, who was discovered by the Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.

The power of love drives a ruthless and prevailing landowner in search of divine beauty that transforms him to a more philosophical poet.  

A gripping storyline based on the life of Hason Raja portrays a powerful and heart rendering journey of the poet.

Celebrated Bollywood music director Bappi Lahiri has created the most dazzling waves of stimulating musical orchestration.  Legendary Bollywood super star Mithun Chakaraborty’s powerful depiction of the poet has an ostentatious presence on the big screen.

The intoxicating presence of Raima Sen and her graceful elegance explicate in every frame. The rest of the cast perform with subtle nuances, which have been captured by the filmmaker with great care.

Internationally renowned choreographer Sukalyan Bhattacharya has ornately intertwined various classical and folk dance forms with a display of moves and colour, creating breathtaking moments.

A smashing sword fight by Mithun outshines contemporary action films.
The renowned British Bengali filmmaker Ruhul Amin has accomplished memorable cinematic moments inducing a deep philosophical consciousness. The film is due for release at the end of this year.
