Rabindranath Tagore was a Renaissance man. He was a writer, playwright, songwriter, poet, philosopher and educator. Tagore left us with more than his ideas, words and images; he left us with a new world vision - that literacy is a fundamental human right. Dolphin Entertainment and Global Performing Arts seek to eradicate illiteracy among India's poorest. The producers are especially thankful to Air India, the National Platinum Sponsor. The event partner are Pratham USA, Chicago Chapter.

Kushal Bose, who conceptualized the production, says, "My vision is to free Tagore from the 20th century and to bring him to the 21st century. To open the eyes and ears of today's generations to the beauty and power of his message. To ignite a hunger for multi-cultural freedom and expression. To challenge our youth to find themselves and value their individuality. This is the time to broadcast Tagore's philosophy and message of hope using the media of the digital age."
