Tollywood celebrities in the pre-release party of Kaushik Ganguly’s C/o Sir

Kolkata, June 30, (Washington Bangla Radio): Just before the day of the release of Kaushik Ganguly’s latest offering ‘C/o Sir’, the entire Tollywood seemed to have accumulated in Hotel Hindustan International to cheer for the film in the Pre-release party.

Director Kaushik Ganguly was in his humble self as seen always. Speaking about the rising expectations from him after the huge success of the film ‘Shobdo’, Kaushik Ganguly told WBRi, “I think C/o Sir will be greater commercial success than Shobdo as it is being released in much more number of theatres and the story has a mass appeal. If this film does well in the award ceremonies, I will be happier.”

Kaushik Ganguly’s better half Churni Ganguly was also spotted with him. Churni styled herself in a similar fashion as Bengali ladies do during the Pushpanjali ceremony of Durga Puja. For the filmmakers making a film is nothing less than the greatest of festivals. new-kolkata-bangla-movie

Present at the glamorous event was Moon Moon Sen, perhaps to make up for the absence of Raima Sen, the female lead of the film who could not attend being busy shooting for a Bollywood flick. Ms. Sen was seen bonding with Agnimitra Paul, one of the leading designers of Kolkata.

Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, along with his entire family, including his two actor sons Gourab Chakrabarty and Arjun Chakrabarty graced the occasion too. The family made quite a pretty picture for the shutter bugs.

Abir Chatterjee and Ritwick, two of the most sought after Tollywood heroes were also seen having a gala time. Ritwick told WBRi, “C/o sir will definitely be a success. Nothing can go wrong when a film has Kaushik da as director and Saswata Chatterjee in the lead.” About his recent assignments the versatile actor said, “My shoot for the film ‘Teen Patti’ is over and I have just started shooting for ‘Khancha’ which is being directed by Raja Sen. I cannot though divulge the details right now.”

No tension seemed to linger on the face of Saswata Chatterjee about the film’s reception. The actor who has been churning out a series of hits off late was all in smiles at the party. Working together in ‘Meghe Dhaka Tara’ seems to have strengthened director Kamaleshwar Mukherjee and Saswata Chatterjee’s bonds as was also evident from the actor-director duo hanging around together.

Locket Chatterjee and Tanushree brightened up the event with their charming presence. While locket sparkled in a Crimson Saree, Tanushree looked super hot in a black western dress. The ‘Crimson’ Tide’ and ‘Black magic’ turned to be the top head turners of the party.

Young Producer Jaspreet Kaur seemed to be excited about the release of her debut venture. “I am quite sure that the film will be loved by the audience. The theme of the film will surely touch their hearts”, she told WBRi. She also mentioned that she plans to make more films hence forth. “I hope that I will be able to offer two or three film every year to the audience. But for the time being I am only thinking about C/o Sir.”
