Her next Bengali film Kagojer Nouka just went on floors yesterday. Kagojer Nouko is directed by Partho Sarathi Joardar and is a story of a state mangled with the vices of corruption and threatened by a grim situation of safety and security. A fresh face in Tollywood - Priyam - is the hero of the film. Bidita plays the lead female role in the film. Also in the star cast are Rajesh Sharma, Victor Banerjee and more.

In this interview recorded on the day Kagojer Nouka marked it's launch with a media event, Bidisha reveals sources of her inspiration and what acting means to her. She touches upon how she selects films to perform in - she used to prefer roles in art-house films but now that the distinction between art-house and commercial films is blurred and so-called crossover films are doing very well at the box office, Bidita simply prefers to act in films with a strong storyline and challenging role, not necessarily the lead role.

Bidita is also appearing in the Bollywood film "With Love from Sydney" which is in post production. In the film written, directed and produced by Prateek Chakravorty (who also stars in his film), She plays the role of Megha Banerjee who romances three men - "good boy, bad boy and fat boy" she adds with a laugh. The film in Hindi is about a girl studying at New South Wales University and her love life.
