"Jirnapatar Jharabelae" retrospective on singer Smriti Bose and launch of "Smriti Seba Foundation" at Kala Kunj, Kolkata

Kolkata, June 21, 2012 (Washington Bangla Radio) 'Jirnapatar Jharabelae', a profound yet captivating evening commenced with the magical voice of the anchor on stage of Kala Kunj, Kolkata and his tribute to late Mrs. Smriti Bose. With the heartfelt speech of Subham Bose, the son of late Mrs. Bose, the 'Smriti Seba Foundation' has been officially launched in the evening in 'Kala Kunj', in the memory of a loving mother, a timeless singer Mrs. Smriti Bose. The founding announcement had taken place on 18th June 2012 at Calcutta Press Club through a Press Conference, interacting with friends from media about future course of action and activities.

The organization will provide tangible benefits to the public, announced Mr. Subham Bose, the founder, Trustee of the organization. As of now it is comprised of volunteers who are working together towards a positive goal- to reach out to communities and talented individuals providing a true help for the less fortunate to acknowledge talents among the society. The organization has taken it's first step into social service by donating fund to eminent groups like Red Cross and IIDR. Indeed a noble endeavor has been initiated by 'Smriti Seba Foundation'.

The captivating evening was full of Rabindra Nath Tagore's immortal creations of songs with the original aesthetic appeal as presented by Rabindra Sangeet artists Manisha Murli Nayar and Monoj Murli Nayar with their exceptional vocal magic that mesmerized the audiences through the evening. Ms. Sayeri Chandra added more Rabindrik and Boul songs to make the event a complete success.

The graceful speech and tribute to the soul of Smriti Bose by the honorable guests touched the heart of the admirers. Guests were Mr. Debashis Kumar( Mayor In Council, Parks – Gardens & Sports, KMC),  Mr. Indrajit Ghosh Dastidar(Chief Advisor,IIDR), Sadhan Pande( Minister In Charge , Government of West Bengal), other guests from different fields of performing arts along with Rakhi Guha, RamyaJyoti Sarkar, Susmita Sarkhel, Rajib Roy(Eminent Social Workers, activists and contributors of West Bengal). The auditorium was echoed by claps while they were presented with the tokens of honor by the Chief founder of 'Smriti Seba Foundation' Mr. Subham Bose.

In essence the profound evening has been completely successful with the prayer and delivering message of help for the talented individuals in need. We wish the very best for the future course of 'Smriti Seba Foundation'.
