Indraneil, Koel & Locket
Kolkata, June 26, 2012 (Washington Bangla Radio / Penning Creations) Kolkatans indulged in the flavor of Durga Puja today with the music launch of upcoming Bengali film Doshomi at Mani Square Mall. Produced by Cinenine, the Tollywood movie Dashomi revolves around the most celebrated Bengali festival of Durga Puja. It is a story about Avi and Tuli, childhood buddies and their realization of their love for each other during the five days of festivity.
The music release of Dosomi saw the presence of film’s protagonists Indraneil Sengupta and Koel Mullick, playing the role of Avi and Tuli respectively, along with Locket Chatterjee, Debarpito (Music Director), Suman Mitra (Director) and other crew members.
There are six audio songs in the Dasami soundtrack OST written by Prasenjit Mukherjee, Koushik Chakraborty and Dibyayani Dey, and performed by Rupankar, Akriti Kakkar, Shaan, Antara Mitra, Thomson Andrews and Rekha Bhardwaj.
Indraneil hinted at some “Peppy numbers that will create the Puja atmosphere and will be loved by all”. The music was released with the song Parina Kaida Dekhe, the favorite track of Locket, Koel and Indraneil as they have given their voice to it, playing in the background and the cast dancing and showing off the signature step of the track.
Debutant feature-film director Suman Mitra is confident about his first release and said that his film targets everybody from the age group of 8 to 80. Deparpito was seen to be very excited with the response of the crowd present there and quoted that it was one of his “most challenging and interesting works”. We are optimistic the songs of Doshomi will be heard in every Puja Pandal this year.
