Bhollu Sardar narrates the story of a child Bhollu (Priyangshu) who wants to become a good-at-heart bandit who, like a modern-day Robin Hood, would steal money from the rich and donate it to the poor. He embarks on a quest to find wicked people (Naradhams) and bring them to justice.

But it is the tale of his depressed aunt and his worldly detached uncle that captures his attention. The rest of the film deals with how ‘Bhallu’ brings happiness into the lives of his uncle and aunt.

The background score has been composed by Pt. Tanmay Basu and the music director is Sanjay Mukherjee.

The cast and crew of Bhallu Sardar met the media at Kolkata Press Club on the 18th and expressed their expectations regarding the film.

Director Debdut Ghosh arrived early to play the host to his co-stars and crew members. Monami Ghosh and Satarupa Sanyal were next. Ashok Surana, producer of the film under the banner of Channel Eight, was the first to speak and revealed how he decided to finance the film as soon as he heard the script. Satarupa Sanyal, said the story interested her very much. Biswajit Chakraborty expressed confidence kids and grown-ups alike will enjoy the film. Monami Ghosh, the heroine, has worked with Debdut Ghosh previously as a co-star and shared her optimism for the film to do well at the box office.

Debutant director Debdut Ghosh admitted to having fun making the film, especially working with the children. Given the extreme scarcity of children's cinema in Tollywood, we wish Bhallu Sardar a great run.
