Calcutta, India, June 26, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio) Shree Venkatesh Film’s forthcoming film ‘Ami Subhash Bolchi’ is not based on the life on Netaji but is rather about how the legendary figure plays a role in the life of a particular individual and his family and helps to revive the Bengali community.

The community once known for their intellect and superiority is now leading a non existent existence and has gone into a state of lethargy and are hardly producing any greats in any field. Netaji comes into the life of Debabrata (Mithun) and through him helps to awaken the Bengalis and acts as a super hero. One has to see the film to know the rest. Other than Mithun, the film stars Saheb Bhattacharya, Laboni Sarkar, Barkha Bisht and Anindya Banerjee (director of forthcoming film ‘Chaplin’) who stars as Netaji. Noted actor/director Mahesh Manjrekar is the director and has written the screenplay+dialogue as well.

The music is by Ajit and Samidh and the lyrics are by Soumitra Mukherjee. The editor is Sailesh Awasthi and the Rahul Bhatankar is the cinematographer.

Mithun, Saheb Bhattacharya and Anindya Banerjee met the media recently at a press meet held at ITC Sonar, Kolkata.
