Modern Woman & Gatsby (Poem)

Modern Woman
Miss Baker is fresh,
Cynical and deceitful,
She is the new kind.

Gatsby
Gabbling crowds, chattering away,
At four in the morning, carriages arrive
Through all this, sits one man.
Staring out the window, wasting away.
Beautiful, he thinks. She’s beautiful.
Yet there’s no other way.
