Boogie Woogie Show SONY TV Indian ChannelMay 17, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) One of the longest running shows in Indian Television, Boogie Woogie, India’s original dance show is back. SONY Entertainment Television will commence broadcast of the new season of the popular show on May 19, 2010.

Over the years, the show has provided an ideal platform for contestants to showcase their dancing talent. Going into its 14th year, the energy of show continues to enthral audiences throughout the world. Boogie Woogie has been highly successful in its effort to showcase young talent. Most of the participants on the show have become professional choreographers, actors, models and performers.

Javed Jaaferi with his wit lends a refreshing touch to the show hosted by the sensational duo of Ravi Behl and Naved Jaaferi. What makes Boogie Woogie special is that here the focus is on dance in its entirety. Participants are encouraged to try different forms of dancing. Fusion of forms, usage of props and ideas is greatly encouraged. The huge popularity of the last season of Boogie Woogie led the producers to special championship shows like Kids' Championships, Teen Championship and Celebrity Championship which featured Indian film stars and Bollywood actors and actresses including Juhi Chawla, Esha Deol, Dia Mirza, Govinda, Vivek Oberoi and Ritesh Deshmukh and others. Interestingly, there were no no prizes for winning, only loads of accolades, applause and appreciation.

Boogie Woogie was temporarily replaced with a new dance show Dance Premier League and returns after Dance Premier League concluded.
