May 14, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) Dev Benegal's ROAD, MOVIE tells a story of an adventurous young man Vishnu (Abhay Deol) who sets off cross-country in a beat-up truck, giving rides to a myriad of interesting people. He picks up a young runaway (Mohammed Faizal Usmani), a wandering old entertainer (Satish Kaushik) and a striking gypsy woman (Tannishtha Chatterjee) and they roam the barren land, searching for water and an elusive fair. The journey turns dire when they are waylaid by corrupt cops and a notorious waterlord.
