May 14, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) Lift Karade is a popular talk show on Indian SONY TV channel featuring Karan Johar as the host talking to various showbiz and entertainment / movie celebrities and stars. The show airs on Saturdays at 8 PM.

Sony TV and other live Indian TV channels are available to be watched online broadcast directly from India - click here to find out more.

In a recent episode, Karan Johar (often called KJO in the spirit of imbibing Hollywood-style abbreviations by Indian media) talked to Bollywood hero Hrithik Roshan whose upcoming film KITES (2010) is eagerly awaited. Kites co-stars Latin American actress Barbara Mori and is reported to be inspired by the Bollywood classic Ek Duje Ke Liye (Buy Ek Duje Ke Liye on DVD online) starring Kamal Hasan, Rati Agnihotri, Madhavi and Sunil Thapa where the lead-pair commit suicide seeing no future for their romantic relationship.

Watch a segment from the Lift Karade episode featuring Hrithik Roshan, where Hrithik claims he can walk the streets of Mumbai even today, and people come up and shake his hand and auto-rickshaw (a peculiar Indian vehicle with three wheels and no doors) drivers offer him rides. When Karan Johar asks Hrithik Roshan about his experience of stalkers and fanatic fans, Hrithik tells the story of when he was in Kolkata, the Calcutta School Board (perhaps the radical left West Bengal Board which has a track record of indoctrination of young minds in Communism ?) wrote him a letter asking his permission to put his name in the Biology text books, to be used as a tool of learning via the question "Which is the longest bone in Hrithik Roshan's body ?"
