Sadhak Bamakhyapa completes 1000 episodes | Indian TV Channel ETV Bangla Show

Sadhok Brahmakhyapa ETV Bangla ChannelMay 4, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) By Aditya Chakrabarty: Rarely does a serial complete 1000 episodes nowadays.Sadhok Bamakhyapa, which has had an uninterrupted run on ETV Bangla since Jan15, 2007 not only shows the presence of this great figure in our lives, but also celebrates the feat of a serial which has become a part of our daily lives. We have retrieved one of the most important figures in our philosophy from the pages of history and tells us about a figure who had always lived in the shadows of other greats like Swami Vivekananda and Ramakrishna Paramhansa. The figure has been shown along with all the myths and folklores surrounding this saint from Tarapith.

Noted actors and actresses like Arindam Ganguly(who plays Sadhok Bamakhyapa), Bodhisattwa Mazumdar, Samata Das,Ramaprasad Banik, Krishna Kishore Mukherjee, Debika Mitra and others have acted or are acting this serial and made the serial alive with their stellar performances.Diptodip Chakraborty and Sourav Saha play the roles of the younger Byamakhapa.

It has enjoyed High T.R.P from day 1 and it has been rated to have the highest viewership in the particular time slot (12:30 to 1 pm, every Mon to Sat) among all Bengali channels according to TAM. The devotional songs in the serial have also become very popular.

The serial is produced by Subrata Roy Productions, which is the production house’s debut venture.Subrata Roy has previously Deya Neya for ETV Bangla and the production house’s second Bengali serial, ‘Saanjhbela’ which is telecast on ETV Bangla at 5:30 pm on Mon-Thurs) is slowly gaining popularity. The producer claims to have enough material to telecast another 700 episodes of Sadhok Bamakhyapa without compromising on quality or content.

To celebrate the success of Sadhok Bamakhyapa completing 1000 episodes, a party was held at the Highland Park Community Hall on the 26th of April, 2010 in the presence of quite a few actors of the serials like Arindam Ganguly, Bodhisattwa Mazumdar and others.
