Like Mahatma Gandhi once said “let your life be your message”. We are all blessed and gifted with this one life, therefore, make sure it’s inspiring and be passionate and go after your dreams. As well as, face challenges and work hard for what you admire. And remember that it’s okay to make mistakes, as Albert Einstein said, “a person who never made a mistake, never tired anything new”, so eliminate the negatives and accentuate the positives in life. Be better in life not bitter, I don’t believe in treating others the same way as they treat me, I believe in giving love and respect. Who you are is not defined as how educated, talented, wealthy, or famous you think you may be, it’s the way you treat others truly describe who you are. I believe integrity is everything. How you approach your everyday life is your silent message to other, and it touches people in ways you can’t imagine.

My name is Foram Pandya, I was born in Gujarat, India, in the year 1992, but I have spent most of my life being raised in America. I am the daughter of a well respected priest, and a homemaker. I am currently a senior at Kean University pursuing my degree in Elementary Education. Educating and inspiring young minds has always been my greatest passion. Passing my knowledge and manners to the children gives me great pleasure to know that I am making a positive difference in someone’s life. Knowledge that will be a part of them for the rest of their lives. My long term goal is to open an affordable private elementary school in my hometown in India, a place where children can play, learn and grow. Every child deserves to be educated, regardless of their social and financial status.

Growing up, I was always a bright student with a passion in learning, someone who was willing to try new things and accept challenges. As a child, I participated in many school acts and plays, took part in many school activities and also practiced dance. With all this, I learned that I had the fear of performing on stage. Due to this fear, I held myself from doing a lot of activities that I admired. By being a part of Jewel of India USA Beauty Pageant not only am I living my dreams but I am also trying new things and working hard for what I love. Aside from feeling glamourous and walking the ramp with designer clothing, modeling has given me the opportunity to grow as a person and inspire others. I was in high school when I really started to understand and appreciate fashion. I started enjoying clothes, shoes, hair, makeup, and reading fashion magazines and being up to date with the latest fashion trends. Then it became my dream to be in that fashion magazine, to walk the ramp and to see myself on television.

Putting aside my fear of performing on a stage, I recently entered the world of fashion and modeling. I must thank my friends and family for being so positive and supporting me through this journey. With a little self motivation and support from loved ones I am able to live my dream by being on the platform on Jewel of India USA. My first show I did was in October of 2015, it was a great bridal show with other wonderful models, whom I learned a lot from. I was nervous yet confident. After my first show, I had this great feeling of accomplishment, the same feeling I had when I made it on the deans list at my University. Modeling for Indian bridal shows has given me the opportunity to represent my culture. It has also motivated me to eat heathy and maintain a healthy lifestyle by practicing the art of yoga. Jewel of India USA Pageant is a platform that gave me a chance to kick start my dream. Being a part of this pageant, I will have the opportunity to discover my strengths and perfect them, also learn my weakness and transform them into strengths. As a child I often caught myself wearing my birthday tiara in my room to pretend that I was a princess. Up until I turned 21, I was that girl who never forgot to wear her tiara on her birthday. Putting that tiara on my head made me feel like a princess, the feeling was so dear and special, I just wished one day I would earn a crown. Regardless of if I win the title or not, I will be thankful to everyone around me for their blessings and support and always cherish this unforgettable experience.
