Farah Khan and Prabhudheva Enthrall Indian Film Festival of Melbourne Bollywood Dance Competition Audience

Melbourne, Australia, May 8, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): The 6th of May saw Bollywood music at its most vibrant as Federation Square, Melbourne saw the official Indian Film Festival of Melbourne Bollywood Dance Competition – judged by Kabir Khan and Farah Khan.

The evening also saw special guest Prabhudheva ,who surprised audiences with an impromptu performance along with the participants. If that wasn't all, choreographer – producer/director Farah Khan made the very excited crowds at Federation Square do the step of the week!

Says Mitu Bhowmick Lange, Festival Director,IFFM, “Melbourne's iconic Federation Square was bursting with enthusiasm with judges Kabir Khan and Farah Khan encouraging young dancing talent. To the crowds' delight Prabhudeva quite unexpectedly graced the stage and they were simply electrified as he danced with some of the winners. Thousand watched their dancing idols. The energy was palpable and it was truly a night to remember.”

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) takes place from 3 – 22 May in this centenary year of Indian Film. IFFM was established in 2012 as an initiative of the Victorian Government and presents a broad, curated program of more than sixty films, ranging from Bollywood to art house and the sub continent as well as major retrospectives and masterclasses. Highlights include the Telstra Bollywood Dance Competition at Federation Square and the Western Union Short Film Competition.
