Kagojer Nouka portrays the situation of India's safety and security, and economy, that are victims of rampant corruption for decades now. India is like a Paper Boat on a river, soaking in water to melt and disappear any time.

As the music of the film has been launched, the audience will soon know that apart from a promising story line the film also can boast of a great music album which speaks a lot about the potentiali of Sanchayita the Music director.

The first song of the album is a potent romantic number. Titled ‘Khujechi toke Shudhu Dine rate’, the song has been sung by nationally acclaimed singer Kunal Ganjawaala. The intoxicating lyrics have been written by Sanchayita. Lines like ‘Ashantona..eklaa khola chaad…tor ator mekhe gaye…abeg veja mon..gaye veja sorir..shuhdu toke chute chai….Nil aloy rate tor sathe mishe jete chai’ are surely going to have a rippling effect among the audience.

‘Andhokare Poth j Harai’ is the next song and Javed Ali has sung this song. The words of the song have also been penned by Sanchayita.  The high point of this song is the frequent change in tone. The singer has shown immense singing prowess by executing difficult modulation perfectly. The equally great music has churned out a memorable track. A lot of credit goes to the lyricist too. Starting with the forewords “Allah re tor duniyaye ..dil beiman..e kon insane bol” the track moves into the main song. The timeless ‘Yada yada hi Dharmassa’ Sanksrit lines from the Mahabharata have been intelligently used in the song. No doubt, the appeal of the song has increased quite a few times.

‘Ei Nesha’, the third song in the soundtrack is a cabaret-style song with a mystique appeal. Penned by Priyo Chatterjee, the song is in the voice of Kalpana Patowari who is chiefly known for her Bhojpuri songs. The versatile singer though has sung aptly and according to demand, though her non-Bengali accent is quite clear in the song. May be the song situation called for that. We will know after the release.

The combination of Priyo Chatterjee’s lyrics and Kalpona Patwari’s voice has been used in the item number of the film. The song titled ‘Rupia chara ki Rupashi potere’ is a hilarious track. Lines like ‘de na ..bheje de na..double dim er omlet’ makes sure that the movie halls buzz with ‘siti’ and ‘tali’.

Nilanjana Sarkar has performed the last song. This is the female version of the first song ‘ Khujechi toke shudhu’ with a gloomy mood in it.

In Bengali cinema, songs still are one of the prime factors that decide the fate of the film. So ‘Kagojer Nouka’ has undoubtedly passed the first stage with distinction. This album is likely to be retained in collections of film and music lovers.
