Murchhana Presents Mesmerizing Evening of Rabindranath Tagore's Works in Kolkata

Murchona Kolkata Cultural ShowKolkata, May 19, 2012 (Washington Bangla Radio) A mesmerizing evening full of Rabindra Nath Tagore's immortal creations of songs with original aesthetic appeal were presented at Gyan Mancha, Kolkata by Murchhana, the famous cultural organization of South Kolkata. Various Rabindra Sangeet artists had taken part to make the event a complete success.

Dr. Oindrila Banerjee, Dr. Nibedita Ghosh, Malabika Sur, Soumita Roy Chowdhury, Bela Sandhukha, Ranabrata Roy and Dibyendu Banerjee were among the artists who presented with the soul and spirit of innumerable songs that enthralled the audience and made the perfect ambiance for the cultural admirers of Calcutta.

The evening became captivating by the graceful presence of the honorable guests like Mr. Debashis Kumar (Honorary Minister of West Bengal - MIC Park, Sports, Garden, KMC), Mr. Sujoy Chanda (Honorary Deputy Commissioner of Police, EF), Mr. Indrajit Ghosh Dastidar (Honorary Chief Adviser, IIDR), Rakhi Guha, Triparna Mukherjee, Rituparna Kundu (Eminent Social Workers and contributors to West Bengal) as the auditorium was echoed by claps while they were presented with the tokens of honor by the chief founder of Murchhana Dr. Oindrila Banerjee.

Nikkan staged Tagore's dance-drama "Chandalika" that touched the hearts of audience through the performance. In essence the evening was a much desired true escape from the hurries of mundane life worth remembering. The city would look forward for more of such colorful events by Murchhana.
