Audio recording from Partho Mukhopadhyay's program on Feb 2, 2010 at Rabindra Sadan,Kolkata

April 9, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) - By Subhomoy Mukherjee, WBRi Kolkata Correspondent: The space anywhere available is not enough to write something about Elocutionist Guru Shri Partho Mukhopadhyay. I have so many words to write that I complete ultimately by writing a little. He is really Guru by nature because anybody can describe him as teacher rather than performer. He always skips the opportunity to perform and provide the space for his students as he always seems happiest to see his students famous. We can take example of one and only elocutionist Bratati Bandapadhyay, his most famous and favorite disciple.
Born in Bankura in West Bengal, Partho Mukherjee is a brilliant student and management graduate by qualification. From his tender age, he has got interest to recite poems. His perfection in expression, pronunciation and modulation generates acclamation from elocutionists of all era as well as eminent personalities from different fields of the society and cultural biggies.
He established Sarathi , the school to produce elocutionists of class, under the President ship of Living Legend, Singer Suchitra Mitro.
Partho Mukhopadhyay's solo programme on 2nd February, 2010 at Rabindra Sadan is a tribute of Sarathi disciples to their Guru. His accompanist was Santanu Bandopadhyay on Background Music. The set was very good that day.

This excellent presentation was divided into two parts.
He started the programme by facilitating his Guru and recited a poem by Ajit Bairi to create the ambience of the entire evening presentation.
1st part he recited poems by Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore only. He recited poems from different books and different styles by Tagore.
2nd part of the programme was garlanded with poems by authors other than Rabindranath and at the very last of the programme was decorated with poems in tribal language.
He was equally comfortable with all the poems and he recited all the poems from his memory gracefully. His friend, another acclaimed elocutionist Chandramouli Bandopadhyay anchored the programme with genre. The entire presentation was fabulous.
The Auditorium was almost full and eminent personalities like Bratati Bandopadhyay, Pranati Thakur, Dr. Purnendu Sarkar and others were present there.
We are proud to present his entire presentation here and we wish to listen to him again very soon.
