April 6, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) The latest Kolkata Bengali movie ALEYA has a release date in April 2010. This new razor sharp, darkly seductive film centers around Pratik, a film-maker, torn between his love for films, wife and his one time muse, now married to a middleclass businessman.

AALEYA, an unspoken past between the two families heightens tension. The see-saw demands and whims of both women keep confusing – darkening the matters. To know more about this triangular love story and future of the main characters, one must see this mature film.
Based on the story by Mr. Tirthonath Bandopadhyay, Director Manas Basu has written the script himself for ALEYAA and he is also a co-producer of the film along with Pratik Ghosh.
Sudipto Sengupta is on camera for this Manas Basu Productions’ film whereas Mr. Rohan Ganguli takes care of the musical part.
Playback songs performed by singers Rupam Islam, Sujoy Ghosh, Dipannita and Sudipto Gayen lend voice to lyrics by Samim and A. Raju. Snehasis Ganguly is the editor of the film along with Mr. Basudeb Chatterjee.
The cast of the film includes Amitava Bhattacharya, Pamela, Sakuntala Barua, Chinmoy Roy, Swantona Basu, Ramen Roy Chowdhury, Anirban Das, Siddhartho Guha, Sayantani and others.
