April 1, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) JIYO KAKA! is the first Kolkata Bengali movie directed by actor-director Parambrata Chatterjee (WBRi Exclusive Interview).

The Bengali comedy film Jiyo Kaka is the story of three young men struggling for a foothold in the film industry. Rituparna Sengupta plays the role of a veteran actress in the movie.

According to reports, singer Rupam Islam of Fossils (Banglaye Rock Hoye!) fame is one of the playback singers in Jiyo Kaka.

Jiyo Kaka is expected to release in 2010.

Parambrata Chatterjee is most well-known in NRI Bengali movie lovers for his role of Topshe in Feluda movies directed by Sandip Ray: Bombaiyer Bombete (2003) [DVD] with Sabyasachi Chakravarthy, Bibhu Bhattacharya, Anjaan Srivastav, Ashish Vidyarthi; Kailashe Kelenkari (2007) [DVD]  with Sabyasachi Chakravarthy, Bibhu Bhattacharya, Parambrata Chatterjee, Dipankar Dey, Biplab Chatterjee, Haradhan Bannerjee, Tom Alter, Sudip Mukherjee; and Tintorettor Jishu (2008) [DVD] with abyasachi Chakravarthy, Bibhu Bhattacharya, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Bhaskar Banerjee, Biswajit Chakraborty, Shilajit Majumdar, Paran Banerjee, Debesh Roy Chowdhury, Syed Hasan Imam, Li Shin, Gordon Wen and Lam Wai Pan.
