Sabyasachi in 89 is ‘baap’ of Kahaani’s Bob Biswas :declares Saswata Chatterjee

Kolkata, April 13, 2015 (Washington Bangla Radio): “Sabyasachi is more ruthless than Bob Biswas.”,Saswata Chatterjee declared about his character in upcoming movie 89.

During the apps and music launch of the film, Saswata, the most sought after actor of Tollywood said, “Sabyasachi is ‘baap’ of Bob Biswas in 89. I shall be playing the most ruthless killer Bengali film has ever seen.”

All these happened as the movie 89 had its music and apps launch at South city mall in a grand way. The affair was preceded by contests and prizes before Prithvi band took the crowd by storm with one number after another. ‘Karma’- the only song from the movie has been sung by Kaushik Chakrabarty, the lead singer of the band Prithbi.

Apart from Saswata, the cast and crew of the film in attendance included Shataf Figar, Barun Chandra, Biplab Dasgupta, Kaushik and others. Raima Sen, the female lead of the movie was missing at the do.

Manoj Michigan, the director of the movie was spotted busy making the arrangements and ushering in guests. He told WBRi, “We wanted to connect to the audience directly. So we have chosen a shopping mall to launch the music and apps. The contests conducted here have received huge responses."

About the absence of Raima Sen at the event he said, “Raima is busy with some Bollywood assignments. So she could not attend today’s event but we shall be having her in the following promotional activities” the director added.

Shataf Figar, who plays a cop in the movie, looked dapper in a black shirt. “I am getting more and more excited as the release date is nearing as it is my first major role in a film.” said the actor who has played cameos in Mainak Bhaumik’s Kolkata Calling.

Satrajit Sen, co-producer and marketing head of the movie launched the apps as its preview flashed on a giant screen at the mall. “This is the first of its kind of apps for a Bengali movie. The apps will enable the users to access a dedicated gallery section consisting of pictures and video bytes of the cast members, a dedicated jukebox where the audience can listen to the scores from the film,high definition wall papers and a novel concept of a scavenger hunt. The apps will also enable people to book tickets once the movie releases.” said Satraiit Sen who conceptualized the mobile apps.

The event was also graced by singer Lagnajita and actor Bonny Sengupta who dropped by to wish success to the cast and crew of the movie.
