Sunil Gavaskar preferred to unveil the publication manually rather than using the remote controlled electric curtain installed for the purpose. Paoli Dam, looking gorgeous in a traditional saree and a string of flowers on her hair, joined the ‘Little Master’ in the inauguration.

After the launch, Sunil Gavaskar shared some of his old memories. He said that two Bengali families used to live at his locality and as their apartments were on the ground floor, it was their window glasses that used get broken while Gavaskar and his friends got into hard hitting mode in their game of tennis ball cricket. The first refrigerator of the locality came to that family and to the surprise of Gavaskar and his friends the family would invite all of them after their matches to have ice-cold water. They were very excited about that as that was something very new to them. The batting legend hinted that those memories had left a very high impression of the Bengalis on Gavaskar’s mind. Gavaskar said that whenever he comes back to Kolkata, he is reminded of them. He also feels very happy due to the warmth he receives from this city.

Nabaneeta Devsen also spoke highly of the effort of Pailan Group in coming out with the Publication. She said that the Magazine is very versatile and has various dimensions. She also said that she likes the poems published in the magazine. The author also expressed her hopes that such efforts will benefit the masses and will enlighten them with knowledge on different fields.
