Pakistani Bollywood Hottie Veena Malik Reveals ‘Zindagi 50-50’ Movie at Tollywood Kolkata Bengali New Year Bash

Kolkata, April 21, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): Bollywood actress Veena Malik of Pakistani origin became a household name in India after participating in the fourth season of popular Indian TV reality show ‘Big Boss’. Malik recently visited Kolkata on the occasion of Bengali New Year and attended a party thrown by an online entertainment portal.

Appearing in a sexy black western outfit, Veena was the prima focus of the evening. Numerous hot Bong Bombshells from the Indian Bangla movie industry were also present, but Malik was easily the most noticeable in a shiny modern party wear whearas her counterparts were all dressed in traditional Bengali dresses.

Malik also talked about the story of her upcoming Bollywood project ‘Zindagi 50-50’, revealing she is playing the role of a prostitute. Malik has extensively researched her role, even meeting real-life sex workers to understand their lives and dealings. The audience was also treated to a sneak peek of Zindagi 50-50 with screening of a selection of scenes.

After the first look at Zindagi 50-50, Malik said she liked Kolkata and its people. Though this is not the first time she has visited the city, but never before she was lucky to stay that long and enjoy Kolkata's flavor. She also expressed happiness on being able to spend the evening with so many popular stars and other film fraternity members of Tollywood Kolkata Bangla movies.

Noted actor, Aborto director and the key organizer of the event Arindam Sil promised to hold the event every Bengali new year. Sil also passed on Prosenjit Chatterjee's (who was unable to attend) New Year greetings to all present.

Soumitra Chatterjee was also present at the occasion. To everyone's delight, he recited a popular Bengali poem, ‘Abar Asibo phire’. Exuding a sense of transience, a broad smile on his face reminded all that the occasion marks a beginning and is a time to celebrate.

Barun Chandran, Dipankar Dey and Biplab Chatterjee and others also graced the occasion. Other celebrities present included Dolon Roy, Debolina Dutta, Arunima Ghosh, Manali Dey, Gaurav Chakraborty, Ridhima Ghosh, Locket Chatterjee, Rachana Banerjee, Sonali Chowdhury, Shankar Chakraborty, Bhashwar Chatterjee and Pijush Ganguly.

The event also witnessed live performances by the bubbly actress Koneenica Banerjee and singers Dolly Sidhu and Abhijit Ghoshal.
