Mr. Shigeru Kimoto, Marketing Manager of Roland Corporation, Japan said, “The training offered by our academies will give students a practical understanding of industry-standard technology, and equip them with the skills needed to create and sustain their own business activities in a highly competitive environment. The RSM has global presence and provides the perfect platform to encourage kids and adults alike.”

Informing the media, Mrs. Jyoti Bansal, RSM Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of  Eastern Region and Owner of Happy Hours said, “Unless children can relate learning to fun, they will lose interest. That's where RSM is different. We will prepare the kids in such a manner that they will have a collection of 20 to 22 songs ready for playing based on the chords they have learnt. They will be taught other musical instruments as well beside the one they choose to learn. And the theory about music will be dealt with in an interesting manner. This ensures an all-round learning.”

“The students will have the opportunity to learn and practice on Roland products and this is going to be the only musical school with all digital instruments. We are going to have keyboards, piano, guitar, lucina, vocals and V-drums. V drums are a very unique instrument. The acoustic drums are bulky and loud and with these v drums you can attach headphones plus it does not require any tuning. Soundless practice can be done without disturbing the neighbors. Our main aim is not to teach a student to play only one instrument but also to perform as a Roland Band. Our Indian kids will also be getting a lavish platform to showcase their talent and our dream is of spreading RSM to all parts of India. So let’s start off with Kolkata and follow the Roland slogan “BETTER LIFE WITH MUSIC.", she added.

It was also let known that RSM will also be using audio- visual aids here to explain the students about the instrument keeping in mind to make the theory part very interesting by giving them examples with which they can relate. The students will begin their journey keeping EDUTAINMENT (education + entertainment) in mind. Along with learning music there will be different games too attached to their sets which will take care of the entertainment part. The main job of RSM will be to provide a high quality class curriculum in cooperation with the education system, culture exchange, performance and different level competitions. The lesson materials will be dynamic, interactive and fun for children. CDs will be given for self practice at home so that after a long day’s pressure also students can take out some spare time for their own selves and play some music.
