Mumbai, April 13, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): The young UAE-imported actor Taaha Shah who debuted with feminist film from Yash Raj's banner Luv Ka The End in 2011, will be seen again in Karan Johar's female teen comedy titled 'Gippi'. The film is already very much in the news because this is Karan Johar's first film which is a Teen-Com that boosts fresh faces all the way.

Taaha seems very happy to be a part of this Dharma Production's film as he discloses Karan Johar never wanted to meet him initially. "I think I was very disappointed when I came to know Karan Johar didn't want to see me. I had finished one of my shoots a little early, and had rehearsed the script many times. But I am the kind of a guy who doesn't take defeat and success seriously. I am okay with the film's success or failure. I really felt bad at that moment despite of my preparations, But I stayed in touch with Karan Johar", said Taaha Shah.

On being asked if he discussed this with KJo during the shoot of Gippi, Taaha replied "No, I didn't discuss this incident with him. I first met him in Yash Raj's office and he shared his contacts with me. Somehow he knew that I am not that kind of an actor who will keep harassing him for work."

Gippy is directed by Sonam Nair and stars new-find Riya Vij playing the title role. The film is set to release on May 10th all over.
