Star Network Reinvests in the Community by Sponsoring a Variety of Cultural Events in April and May

One of the first events sponsored by Star in 2012 was Naya Andaz. The most prestigious Bollywood dance event in the Tri-State area, Naya Andaz took place on Saturday, March 24th. This year, Naya Andaz celebrated its 20th anniversary, and the event was graced by celebrities including Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala and renowned choreographer Farah Khan. Several dance schools from all over the tri-state area took part in this competition, which was held at the State Theatre in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Along similar lines, another event Star will be sponsoring is Bollywood America. This event is a collegiate dance competition, which will be taking place on April 21st, in Philadelphia, PA. The top 10 collegiate teams from all over the US will be competing for the grand-national title in the genre of Bollywood filmy-fusion music. Star will also be sponsoring a musical extravaganza with the infinitely talented, Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Beginning April 14th, the accomplished singer will be touring the nation with his musical group, starting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Throughout the months of April, May, and June the concert will be making its way across the country, accompanied by the Star Network team. Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will enthrall his audiences with his divine voice, and take them on an unforgettable musical journey.

There will be two more exciting events on Star’s roster this coming May: Just Dance Live at East Brunswick Performing Arts Center, and the Oak Tree Road shopping festival in Edison, NJ. The shopping festival will feature special offers and attractive discounts for shoppers over Memorial Day weekend, May 25-27. That same weekend, Star India Plus will be premiering its own branded event; Just Dance Live, a dance extravaganza, featuring Just Dance contestants Kruti Shah and Anjuli Bhattacharyya, with special performances by Karan Pangali from Just Dance, and pop sensation, Raghav.
