Ganer Adda - The Bengali Band from Mumbai: Interview & Live Performances

Washington DC, April 26, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio) An upcoming Band group named GANER ADDA at J B Nagar, Andhery East Mumbai , where Soumitra Talukdar on behalf of Washington Bangla Radio talks to Rohit Roy, Bob and Mayuk Sarkar (Tipu) with their  live musical extempore performances at their workshop..

Rohit Roy is basically a Chartered Engineer (A.M.I.E ) B.Tech and a singer , lyricist , a composer and concept writer. Bob is a renowned keyboard  player, music arranger and music programmer  of  Mumbai Film Industry. Mayuk (mostly known as Tipu ) is also a renowned guitarist of  Mumbai film Industry.

They formed this Band, GANER ADDA with their hope and dedication with a set of songs based on reality with its dreams of life and are set to touch the core of the hearts of masses - both old  and young  generations with their rich  lyrics  and  enchanting melody  of  Bengali Gharana .

The band, time and again talks of their root in Bengal and their songs express their nostalgia for Bengal. The band has 70 to 80 songs, on various subjects including love songs, songs in protest against the degenerations in the society, a worship of nature with all its beauty.
