Bengali Poet Joy Goswami Recites His Bengali Poems at Sarathi Event Conceptualized by Partho Mukhopadhyay

Calcutta, April 6, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio) Sarathi presented "Rabir Aloke Joy" - a cultural event at Rabindra Sadan on April 6, 2011 starting 5:45 PM Indian time.

The unusual program aimed to establish a connection between the writings of Rabindranath Tagore with those by acclaimed poet Joy Goswami. Goswami recited his own creations. Tagore's influence on Goswami was also explored.

The participants were Joy Goswami, Partho Mukhopadhyay, Soumitra Mitra, Shikha Pal, Sucharita Bandopadhyay, Medha Bandopadhyay,Antara Das, Ishita Das Adhikari, Natasha Dasgupta,Santanu Talukdar, Tapas Mondol, Jayanta Ghosh, Barnali Sarkar, Anindita Das Sengupta, Subhomoy Mukhopadhyay, Jyotikona Barman and Ayonika Ray.

Concept and design was by Partho Mukhopadhyay. The show was anchored by Chandramouli Bandopadhyay and Sekhar Dey.
