Mar 22, 2010 (Washington Bangla Radio) According to a Economic Times report, Ramesh Sippy is producing a film titled Dum Maaro Dum in Hindi, directed by Rohan Sippy starring Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu as the lead pair with Aditya Pancholi,  Pratiek Babbar, Rana Daggubati and others in the cast. The film will be distributed by Fox Star Studios India which is an offshoot of 20th Century Fox and Satellite Television Asia Region (STAR), both of which are owned by Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation, USA.

Fox Star Studios is based in Mumbai (erstwhile Bombay), India. It is heartening to see American businesses continuing to expand into Indian entertainment business, ultimately bringing back money into our country while providing entertainment value to the Indian mass market. Fox Star Studios has already tasted success in distributing two consecutive India-oriented global blockbusters - Slumdog Millionaire (Blu-Ray) and the Shahrukh Khan-Kajol starrer My Name Is Khan (Blu-Ray) and of course made record-breaking revenues with James Cameron's Avatar (Blu-Ray).

According to the report, Dum Maro Dum will have extensive shots in Goa, India and marks the Bollywood debut of Telugu film actor Rana Daggubati.

Rohan Sippy has delivered two successful Hindi films already - Kuch Naa Kaho (DVD) starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, and Bluffmaster (DVD) with Abhishek Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra. Ramesh Sippy, the director of the legendary SHOLAY (DVD), is the father of Rohan Sippy.

Pratiek Babbar is the son of Bollywood veteran Raj Babbar and legendary actress Smita Patil. His other upcoming 2010 films include Dhobi Ghat and My Friend Pinto.

The 6'3" tall Telugu movie hero Rana Daggubati debuted in the Telugu film industry with Leader (2010).
