I AM is an interesting project, in the sense that over 200 volunteers across 23 cities have come together as co-producers. "With this project we hope to bring in another dimension to independent cinema in India. This project offers scope to different co-producers to partly co-produce any of the stories along with the main producers. We believe that independent cinema exists to give a voice to those working against the tide and outside the system", says the official web-site. "I AM is about issues and dilemmas that bruise the modern Indian society. Unraveling and exploring these tribulations, the film unfolds many a tale of individuals struggling to find their identity, and uphold their dignity in a world that is callous, cold and unsympathetic" ... "In all, I AM is about glimpses into the lives of people who often do not know what’s right and very often, do not do the right thing. It is also about human vulnerability and brokenness wherein lies an inescapable beauty."

Washington Bangla Radio wishes all the very best to this unique effort in Indian Independent cinema.
