Babli Badmaash Opens to Thunderous Response
Mumbai, March 16, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): Priyanka Chopra’s special appearance video song titled “Babli Badmash” in Balaji Motion Pictures’ Shootout at Wadala opened to an unprecedented response as soon as it was released on Youtube.
The bubbly music video of the song Bubli Badmaah received over 2 lac hits on the day of release courtesy the buzz created ever since the news of Priyanka Chopra being roped in was announced. And needless to add, the innovative marketing strategy that is signature Balaji.
The production house and audio label (Sony Music) instrumented a roadblock wherein anyone who logs onto Youtube India and visits a premium partner channel, will have to watch the “Babli Basmaash” video, widening its audience reach. The roadblock was done for 24 hours.
Composed by Anu Malik, the retro-style track that singer Sunidhi Chauhan has rendered and choreographed by Ahmed Khan , was granted a U/A certificate reiterating that the song bears no vulgar lyrics or steps.
Talking about the positive response the song has garnered, says a trade source, “Babli Badmaash sees Priyanka Chopra at her stylish best…It’s an ode to the 80’s and who better than Priyanka Chopra to shoulder the song…..Babli Badmaash received an unprecedented number of views on the day of its online release, which is proof that the song is gaining unbelievable popularity.”
