Manash Bhattacharya’s new Bengali audio songs album "Brishti"

Kolkata, March 12, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): The temperature continues to rise in the city of Kolkata. But singer and composer Manash Bhattacharya is presently busy recording songs for one of his upcoming music albums titled “Brishti” (Rain) at Studio Vibrations. A major portion of the album has already been recorded and a few songs are left. WBRI  reached the recording studio while the title track “Bristi” was being recorded there.

Bristi is an upcoming album of singer and composer Manash Bhattacharya. This album consists of nine songs. The songs include “bristi”, “Facebook”, “Sohor chere”, “chena se pathor”, “Tarana 2”, “hello”, “bhorer belai”, “na esobi bhul” and “khola rodh e”. The sound engineer of this album is Goutam Basu.

The nine songs in this album showcase diverse emotions.

The title track "Brishti" is a soft number with a romantic tinge in it. "Facebook" is a fun song targeted to all the girls who socialize on the most popular social networking site. ‘Sohor chere’ is about the journey of Manash Bhattacharya from Kolkata to Mumbai for work. ‘Tarana 2’ is a sequel to Manash Bhattacharya’s ‘Tarana 1’ which released in one of his earlier albums. ‘Hello’ is a duet song focusing on the telephonic conversations. ‘Bhorer Belai’ is about thoughts that one has in the morning and has a very fresh feel to it, feels composer Manash Bhattacharya. ‘Na esobi bhul’ is a sad track. The nine songs will cater to varying tastes of music lovers.

The album has musical elements for people of all ages. The songs in the album have been sung by Kumar, Payel, Hirok Sen and Soumalya.

Kumar was present at the recording session. He has worked in Mumbai and also with eminent Kolkata personalities like Debojyoti Mishra, and is working for the first time with composer Manash Bhattacharya. He is quite contented after working with Manash and he hopes people will like the songs. On questioned about his future projects, the singer said “I like to focus on one album at a time. That helps in maintaining the quality of the work that I am doing”.

Manash Bhattacharya was also present at the recording sessions and was positive that the audience will love to listen to his new Bengali songs album.

True to it's title, the album is scheduled for release during the monsoon rainy season in the month of July or August. The nine songs in the album have been composed by Manash Bhattacharya and he hopes that people will appreciate his effort.

On questioned about his experience of working with Kumar for the first time, the composer said he was extremely pleased.

The songs of the album are promising and we look forward to another great album in the Bengali music scene.
