FILM PROMO: MIRROR MIRROR (2012) The Magic of Snow White waiting to be re created.

‘’Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?" These famous lines are from the German folktale of Snow White by Brothers Grimm which is going to be narrated once again by Tarsem Singh. The tale will have its own twists and turns and obviously a glamorous feel on the silver screen. Singh, as you must have guessed from the name, is an Indian and he has directed quite a few commercials and feature films before he stepped out to recreate the magic of Snow White. Not sure how much magic will actually be re created as the evil queen will be played by Julia Roberts. Well, this gorgeous and talented lady does not really have the evil look on her face and it is doubtful if she as the queen would be a hit. Since the film has been introduced as a comedy-fantasy, the cinegoers might just like the look of it. According to the director, the queen here is not evil but insecure. Apart from Julia Roberts as Queen Clementianna, there is Lily Collins as Snow White. Lily’s performances as Collins Touhy (Sandra Bullock’s daughter in Academy awards nominated ‘The Blind Side’) and as Taylor  Lautner’s friend Karen Murphy in ‘Abduction’ has earned her admirations as an actress but what’s up with the bushy brows in Mirror Mirror (read Snow White). The original founders of Facebook, the Winkelvoss twins (played by Armie Hammer) will be seen here as the prince charming Andrew Alcott. In the film the prince is shown to be first attracted towards the queen (watch for the love potion scene…its hilarious) and then he falls in love with the princess. This is how the story is said to have been narrated in the film. Hope it lives up to the expectations of the audience who may like to see a different version of their favorite fairytale:

The evil queen schemes and scrambles for control of a spirited orphan's throne and the attention of a charming prince.  When Snow White's beauty wins the heart of the prince that she desperately pursues, the Queen banishes her to the forest, where a ravenous man-eating beast hungrily awaits. Rescued by a band of diminutive highway robbers (the seven dwarves), Snow White grows into an indomitable young woman determined to take back her realm from the treacherous Queen.
