About VIR DAS::  Vir Das is India’s biggest name in the comedy circuit, having cemented himself as a top stand-up, actor, writer, musician and festival producer. Through his various live shows, including "Unbelievablish," "The History of India" and "Battle of the Sexes," Vir has sold more than half a million tickets worldwide. His "Unbelievablish" tour is the largest domestic comedy tour ever by an Indian comedian. Vir started his film career with "Badmash Company" (2010) and followed it up with "Delhi Belly" (2011), which has cemented its place as a cult film in India. In 2013 he was seen in the commercially and critically acclaimed "Go Goa Gone," which was India’s first zombie film. He was last seen in the critically acclaimed "Revolver Rani" (2014) opposite Kangana Ranaut, who is one of the top actresses in the country today. This year, he has appeared in the hit comedy "Mastizaade." March 11-13, international comedy star Vir Das makes his first ever appearance at the DC Improv. He will perform stand-up comedy, and all shows will be in English. OFFICIAL WEBSITE - www.weirdasscomedy.com

About DC Improv::   The DC Improv opened its doors in 1992 under the direction of Mark Anderson (first show featured Ellen DeGeneres, Dave Chappelle and Brian Regan!) For more than two decades, the club has hosted the best comedians in the country, showcasing both established superstars and up-and-coming talents. Thanks to our intimate set-up and Washington's great crowds, the club has become a favorite venue for the comics themselves. Dozens of people have recorded stand-up albums here. Jerry Seinfeld came to the DC Improv when perfecting his "comeback" set, as seen in the 2002 documentary "Comedian." And just look at the lineup of headliners who joined us for our 20th anniversary celebration in 2012: Brian and Dennis Regan, Bill Burr, Jim Gaffigan, and Mike Birbiglia. The DC Improv is more than just a comedy club. It represents a tradition of excellence and laughter.
