Bengali rock-star Rupam Islam grabbed most of the attention for the shutterbugs and selfie hunters at the event. The Fossils frontman has performed the title track of the film. Rupam said, “I love how the song has shaped up. I enjoyed a lot singing it. This song belongs to a genre which I don’t explore much. I am thankful to the director and the music director for having faith in me for this song.”

“The title track  of this film may appear similar to the popular song  ‘Basanto Ese geche’ but the lyrics are entirely different. This song has its own flavor. I am sure the audience will love it,” Rupam added.

Rupam was also heard highly praising music director Adrita Jhinuk. “Its good to see a lady music director in the Bengali film industry. There are very few female music directors today. I liked the way Adrita works. I never felt she is a newcomer while working with her. She knows her stuff well and knows exactly what she wants from her singer. I am sure Adirta will go a long way in her career.”

About the recent trend of using multiple languages in songs, Rupam said, “We almost always use multiple languages when we speak among ourselves. We use many English and Hindi words while conversing in Bengali. So why not in song? Songs are also a way to express and I see no harm if multiple languages are used for that need. Languages and trends in songs change all the time. Language will find its own path. It always has and we have to accept that.”

Music director Adrita said, “I am very happy for the opportunity to work with established singers like Rupam Islam and Rupankar Bagchi. I initially thought I won’t be able to handle such big names but they were all so grounded and cooperative that I never felt that I am working with some of the biggest stars of the Bengali music industry.”

Rupankar Bagchi quipped, “But we did feel we were working with a seasoned music director though Adrita is a new comer. She is so much of an expert in her work that we felt we were the new-comers and she is the experienced one. It was an wonderful experience to work with her and I am very much eager to work with her again in the near future.”
