Mumbai, Feb 20, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): Amit Sadh plays Omi in Kai Po Che. The film's release date in India being less than a week away, the actor is all geared up to make his big debut on the silver screen.

'Kai Po Che!' saw it's world premiere at one the largest and most prestigious venues: Berlin International Film Festival (Berniale 2013).

Amit, who’s a hard-core Punjabi, is often caught in situations where his Gujarati fans converse with him in their mother tongue.

A popular face on television, Amit has been mistaken to be a Gujarati by his fans several times before.

Co-incidentally, Kai Po Che was extensively shot in Gujarat.  Since the film is set in Gujarat, Amit did various workshops to get his body language and dialect closest to the locals.

The shooting took place in Vadnagar and many areas of the old city in Ahmedabad. While filming in Gujarat, Amit spent a fair amount of time mingling with the locals and has been well-influenced by the Gujarati culture.

Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Kai Po Che has managed to create quite a buzz amongst the audiences and critics alike. The film is based on Chetan Bhagat’s novel "The 3 Mistakes of My Life" and is slated to release on the 22nd of February.
