Shaan previously essayed a negative role in the runaway hit ‘Poran Jaye Jolia Re’ is excited about his meaty role in the film. He told WBRi, “I add the glam quotient in the film. All the commercial elements in the film will be brought in by me.”

The synopsis of Roopey Tomaye Bholabo Na reveals the story of the film: Kaberi (Swastika Mukherjee) is a distinguished actress and her husband (Kaushik Sen) heads a multinational company. They have a 18-year old daughter Ritu (Ananya).

Director Raj Mukherjee told WBRi, “I had made a short film on this subject and realized that a full-length feature film can be made on the theme. And thus began my preparation for the film which is finally ready for release. I hope the audience will like this realistic film.”

The stars the very talented Kaushik Sen as the father of Ritu and the husband of Kaberi. He told WBRi “I play the role of a man who acts as the bridge between his wife and daughter. In the film, the  relationship between my wife and daughter is strained but both confide in me. I understand both their problems and dilemmas. Thus I act as the binding force between them.”

Swastika Mukherjee, of course, is a leading Bengali film star herself and has a growing daughter too. She was naturally asked about her real life and the film's plot. “No, I have never faced such situations. In this film my onscreen daughter troubles me a lot. She intentionally hurts me professionally and also harasses me mentally. Fortunately my own daughter has never done these kinds of things”, says Swastika.
