Watch: Full Bangla movie "Loveria" Press Meet in Kolkata
Kolkata, Feb 5, 2013 (Washington Bangla Radio): Raja Chanda (interview) is going present actor Soham paired with actress Puja Bose (interview) for the first time in his Indian Bangla movie "Loveria". The romance-comedy is awaited eagerly by fans after Raja Chanda's box office blockbuster "Challenge 2".
A press conference about the film was held at a prominent hotel in Kolkata where Raja Chanda disclosed that the shooting of ‘Loveria’ was completed within just thirty-three days. He has tried to portray Sohom in a totally different image in the film. Soham will not be seen just as a typical roadside romeo, but also a guy with a decent educational degree in the film.
When WBRi asked Raja Chanda if the title of the film is inspired by a famous song from Shahrukh Khan's "Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman", Chanda said, “The title ’Loveria’ was stuck somewhere in the back of my mind and while searching for a catchy title we struck upon this title. It may be possible that the song had put it there at my back of the head. It may have come from other sources as well.”
Music director Samidh, who also acts in the film, told WBRi, “I want to try many things. I enjoyed essaying my role and am looking forward to more opportunities of acting. I wanted to act from childhood. I don’t have the best physique for acting and am thankful to filmmakers for accommodating me in pivotal roles. ”
The film will also reveal Bengali actress Puja Bose in a new avatar. In both of her previous Bengali films, she was portrayed as a bubbly and sweet girl. In this film she will be seen as an arrogant, hot-tempered girl who does not hesitate to beat up guys.
The film is a love story where the rich girl will fall in love with a poor boy. There are some exciting action sequences as well, though the director told us the action scenes will not dominate the film as much as “Challenge 2”.
This is the fifth Bengali feature film by Raja Chanda, and his first where Jeet Ganguly is not the music director.

Sohom said he enjoyed a lot essaying his character: “this is the first time I am portraying a character like this, and as I will be playing an educated boy with a ‘tapori’ shade, getting into the skin of the character was never as easy as its seems.”
Puja Bose expressed her desire to watch herself in a comedy movie. She graciously thanked script-writer N.K. Salil for delivering a wonderful script which she feels can make the audience laugh hard.
