Kathmandu, Feb 26, 2012 (Washington Bangla Radio) After her appearance in Ke Ma Timro Sathi Banna Sakchu was scrapped by producer Krishna Chaulagai, actress Binita Baral will debut in Nepali cinema with the lead female role of a beautiful young and single girl living in a hostel in CHAPALI HEIGHT (2012) directed by Dipendra K. Khanal.
Chapali Height is set in Pokhara and revolves around the hot girl and two young men played by Amir Gautam and Raj Ghimire.
There has been a fair amount of publicity of the film in the Nepali media thanks to apparently topless pictures of Binita Baral published on the covers of popular magazines. Binita has denied being naked in the pictures, and there is some evidence that she indeed was wearing a black bra.
A few eyebrows have also been raised on one of the posters which is remarkably similar to a poster of the Hollywood sex-drama Basic Instinct.
The film has a liberal dose of bold sex and kissing scenes which is anticipated by some to be the primary reason for the amount of buzz it has created. However, it has been claimed the film is based on a real-life incident.
The film is produced by Arjun Kumar Pokharel and will be released under the banners of Aasma Films and Rajdhani Media. Arjun Kumar is also the music director of the film.
Khanal's "Dharma" starring Manisha Koirala, Rajesh Hamal, Nikhil Upreti, Anu Shah, Rejina Upreti, Shanker Acharya, Madhav Acharya, Gajit Bista and more is also eagerly awaited.
