Calcutta, Feb 1, 2011 (Washington Bangla Radio) One of Kolkata's leading film production houses, Shree Venkatesh Films, have released the first poster of their forthcoming Bengali movie CHALO PALTAI.

Cholo Paltai is the first feature film release from SVF in 2011. The film stars the 2nd Mahanayak of Tollywood - Prasenjit Chatterjee (WBRi Exclusive Interview) in a leading role.

Cholo Paltai is directed by Haranath Chakraborty. Singer - Songwriter Anupam Roy - whose song Amake Amar Moto Thakte Dao from Srijit Mukherji's (WBRi interview) Autograph (Bengali, 2010) is immensely popular, is the Music Director. Autograph is one of the biggest Bengali blockbusters of 2010 and also features Prasenjit Chatterjee as the protagonist.

CHALO PALTAI is said be a licensed Bengali remake of the popular 2010 Marathi movie Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho (शिक्षणाच्या आईचा घो) directed by Mahesh Manjrekar and starring Sachin Khedekar, Bharat Jadhav, Saksham Kulkarni, Gauri Vaidya, Siddarth Jadhav, Kranti Redkar, Vidyadhar Joshi, Vaibhav Mangle, Kamlakar Satpute, Kishore Pradhan, Sandeep Pathak, Vijay Kenkre, Atul Kale, Dhananjay Mandrekar, Rajdev Jamdade, Rajiv Rane and others.

The film challenges India's school system that stifles talent and originality. A young student is a talented cricket player. His considerate sister tries to convince his father (Prasenjit Chatterjee) to let him pursue a career in cricket. But the father and his circumstances lead him to believe pursuing a career in cricket is a sure recipe for disaster, and a melodrama unveils.
