Indian Classical Instrumental Sarod Maestro Pandit Amjad Ali Khan and pop music icon Allah Rakha Rahman in 52nd Grammy Awards

Jai Ho Slumdog Millionaire A R Rahman Free Preview & MP3 DownloadA R Rahman bagged two grammy awards tonight at the 52nd Annual Gramy Awards 2010 ceremony going on at The Staples Center in Los Angeles on Jan 31, 2010. Rahman was nominated in two categories, "Best Compilation For Motion Picture, Television Or Visual Media" and "Best Song Written For Motion Picture, Television Or Other Visual Media". The song Jai Ho from the film Slumdog Millionaire (2009) which already won eight Academy Awards (Oscars) last year, got nominated. Rahman, himself bagged two of the Oscars for his music in the film.
 
Indian classical Sarod Maestro Pandit Amjad Ali Khan was also nominated for his music album 'Ancient Sounds' along with Iraqi soloist Rahim Ajij in the 'Best Tradional World Music Album' category.

A R Rahman has often been labelled "The Mozart Of India" by those sections of an over-zealous media which does not understand either Mozart's or Rahman's music.

The Bangladeshi singer-songwriter-composer Sayan Chowdhury Arnob has also been delivering spectalcular world-class original compositions, though not in the mainstream kitschy media glare.
