Nana Pathekar's YAKSHA (2010) Kannada Movie

Acclaimed Bollywood actor Nana Pathekar debuted in South Indian cinema with director Bharathiraja's Tamil movie Bommalattam [Buy Bommalattam/Nagerkoil (2-in-1 DVD) Tamil Movie Online] appearing with Arjun in a lead role and Kajal Agarwal, Padmyapriya, Prithviraj in supporting roles. Bommalattam, a film inspired by Andrew Niccol's 2002 blockbuster sci-fi English movie S1m0ne (Simone) [Blu-Ray DVD] starring the one and only super-actor Al Pacino, was released in Hindi as Cinema and Telugu as Rana.

Following his South Indian debut, Nana Pathekar appears in Ramesh Rao's Kannada movie YAKSHA with Girish Mattennavar, Yogesh, Atul Kulkarni and others.

According to reports, Mattennavar is the grandson of renowned vocalist Late Gangubai Hangal and the president of the BJP Yuvamorcha,and the chairman of Kanterava studio. The Mid-Day newspaper in this article reports Nana Pathekar in the role of a special Mumbai police officer sent to clean Bangalore up with his gunman assistant Mattennavar.
