“Nevermind Nirvana”, director-writer-producer Ajay Sahgal’s comedy, has been reportedly chosen by Fox television network as pilot.

It is reportedly about Indo-Americans; revolving around immigrant parents from India, their two grown-up sons one of whom has a Caucasian girlfriend, their value-systems, and their circle of friends and family.

Welcoming the show about Americans of India descent, Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed, however, urged Fox and Sahgal to be sensitive to the feelings of Indo-Americans in their depiction. Television was a powerful medium and thus the people behind television productions should be very careful when showcasing the traits of an entire community, Zed, who is president of Indo-American Leadership Confederation, stated in Nevada (USA) today.

Canadian-born Sahgal (It's a Shame About Ray), 44, is married to Kelli Williams (The Practice). Fox is the leading broadcast television network owned by diversified global media company News Corporation whose chairman is Rupert Murdoch and which has assets of about $55 billion.
