Maya Bazaar (2009) Bengali Movie
Maya Bazaar, the Bengali movie by Joydeep Ghosh, premiered in India at the 14th International Film Festival of Kerala 2009.
Synopsis (from IFFK)
An ensemble of three stories. Memories is the story of a young widow Kuhu, who is engulfed by the memory of her deceased husband. Soul tells the story of Dhritin, a painter who is obsessed with the image of a girl who frequents his dreams. The third story Future is about two friends who are always engaged in the age-old debate on atheism and faith. The argument of natural and supernatural goes on and on until they come to face the ultimate truth of life.
In the synopsis posted at the IFFK web-site, "deceased" is surprisingly written "diseased". Such carelessness is not expected in a serious submission to a renowned film festival.
