BastuShaap Bangla Movie Music Released

Kolkata, India, January 11 (Washington Bangla Radio) - Greentouch Entertainment launched the audio music CD of their new Bangla movie “Bastushaap” starring Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Abir Chatterjee, Raima Sen, Kaushik Ganguly and Churni Ganguly today, under the label of Amara Music. The film is directed by Kaushik Ganguly. The music director is Indradeep Dasgupta.

The film invokes Feng shui - the Chinese art of metaphysics that aims for humans to achieve harmony with qi (earth, universe and everything) - as well as Vastu Shastra, the 8,000 year-old Indian text on spatial geometry and architecture that also strives for harmony with nature.

"The movie Bastushaap revolves around the concept of Vaastu and how it affects the relationship and bonding between people. This is for the first time in Tollywood (Kolkata-based Bengali movie industry) that a movie has been conceptualized and made on the subject of Vastu," said Kaushik Ganguly.

"Indradeep has done a fantastic job and the music highlights the varied moods of the story. The music has definitely given as extra edge to the story," Ganguly added.

“It was a wonderful experience to work on such an amazing project. Bastushaap was a very challenging and exciting project for me. I am eagerly awaiting audience feedback”, said music composer and director Indradeep Dasgupta.


“The music of Bastushaap is just brilliant. The songs of the movie have been well-composed and all the artists have performed with great panache, bringing out the perfect feel to all of the songs. I am really hopeful the audience will love the music”, said Mr Shyam Sundar Dey of GreenTouch Entertainment Pvt Ltd.

The Bastushaap original motion picture soundtrack has five songs:

  • Raja Ranir Bhalo Hok - Shreya Ghosal
  • Tomake Chuye Dilam - Arijit Singh
  • Tomake Chuye Dilam - Shreya Ghoshal
  • Amar To Golpo Bola Kaj - Rupankar Bagchi.

The lyrics of the song Gache Gache Rod Jhilmil Lege Jaye and Amar To Golpo Bola Kaj are written by Kaushik Ganguly himself. Raja Ranir Bhalo Hok and Tomake Chuye Dilam are written by Srijato.

Bastushaap is an intense drama revolving around the lives of Arjun, Bonya, Antara, Kushal and Timir. The movie is based on the methods of Feng Shui and Vastu Shastra, the sciences of the natural elements and the way they garb human life.

The story starts from an isolated British bungalow in the hilly wilderness of Darjeeling. There is wealth and prosperity, but little happiness. Will the characters be able to find happiness? Will Feng Shui and the science of Vaastu work for or against the process of this revival?

As the equations between the members unfold one by one, their stories full of love and crevices deepen the mystery.

Gopi Bhagat is the Director of Photography of Bastushaap that is shot beautifully in the picturesque locales of Samsing and Kurseong. Subhajit Singha has edited the movie while Kaushik Ganguly has written the screenplay and dialogue. Sarathi Guha is the Line Producer and Arijit Riju Dutta is the Executive Producer.
