Ayananshu set to debut with Bodhon; Arpita Chatterjee plays Damsel in distress

Kolkata, January 12, 2015 (Washington Bangla Radio): After creating a stir in the film festival circuit, the women centric film Bodhon which stars Arpita Chatterjee and Joy Sengupta as the lead stars, is all set for its commercial release.

Ayananshu Banerjee debuts as a director with this film and seems to have hit the bull's eye with his very first directorial venture. He has already bagged the Best director award in the 'Bioscope Global film Festival'. Bodhon has also been selected for 'Indian panorama'

The cast and crew of the movie recently came together for the first look launch which happened at Plush, one of the most happening pubs of Kolkata.

The protagonists Arpita and Joy Sengupta accompanied by Mamata Shankar and singer Lajangita launched the first look of the film as director Ayananshu and presenter Satrajit Sen played the perfect hosts.

Bodhon is a poignant tale of Ishani's (Arpita) struggle and how she managed to overcome all the crisis.

Apart from the lead duo, the film has a heavily loaded cast line up which includes the likes of Soumitra Chatterjee, Saayoni Ghosh, Koneenika Banerjee, Dolly Basu, Partho Ghosh, Gouri Ghosh, Debshankar Haldar, Prabir Das, Sambriddha Pal, Ahana Karmakar and others.

The music of the film has been composed by Mauk and Mainak while singers like Jayati Chakrabarty, Anwesha, Ratan Khanna and Timir have lent their voices for the songs.

The movie hits the theatres on 30th January 2015.
