Dirty Politics Was Launched Amidst Laughter

Mumbai, January 09, 2014 (Washington Bangla Radio): Upcoming Hindi movie DIRTY POLITICS might be a story about the ugly side of politics but at the trailer launch of the film the atmosphere was anything but ugly. The cast, namely Anupam Kher, Om Puri, Govind Namdeo and Mallika Sherawat were present to grace the occasion and the entire event was buzzing with humour and laughter.

Holding forth were Anupam Kher and Om Puri with the crazy anecdotes and fun filled quips, totally proving that the duo are the uncrowned kings of laughter in real life! Their costar Mallika Sherawat smiled on but was used up her time thanking the director for offering her such a strong, performance oriented role in this film.

Mallika Sherawat is portraying the role of Anokhi Devi, a sexually manipulative woman who has political aspirations. The director went on record to state that though the film is based in Rajasthan, it has nothing to do with Bhavri Devi’s murder case.

Dirty Politics, starring Om Puri, Anupam Kher, Naseeruddin Shah, Jackie Shroff, Ashutosh Rana, Govind Namdeo, Atul Kulkarni, Shushant Singh, Rajpal Yadav and Mallika Sherawat, is slated to release on 13th February 2015.
